A Bill to make provision for members of the House of Lords to vote at elections to the House of Commons
House of Lords
30 April 2013
This bill would allow members of the House of Lords to vote in general elections for MPs in the House of Commons. If enacted, Lords would gain voting rights in those elections, extending the franchise to cover Lords as voters.
The bill is currently at the second reading in the House of Lords. If it clears this stage, it will proceed to committee and then be considered by the House of Commons.
