The Housing Association (Rights and Representation of Residents) Bill is designed to give residents of housing associations clearer rights and a stronger voice in how their homes are run. It would set requirements for how services are delivered and tighten the regulation of housing associations, with the aim of improving accountability and resident involvement.
The bill is at the second reading in the House of Commons. It originated in the Commons and was first introduced in 2006, with further stages to follow if it progresses.
