A Bill to require the Secretary of State to compile statistics on gender ratios of foetuses aborted in the United Kingdom, and where available overseas; and for connected purposes.
House of Commons
26 April 2013
If enacted, the Bill would require the Secretary of State to compile statistics on the gender ratio of foetuses aborted in the United Kingdom and, where possible, overseas. It would set out how the data should be collected and published and include related purposes. It does not itself change the law governing abortion.
The Bill is currently at the Second Reading in the House of Commons and would need to progress through later stages (Committee, Report, and then potentially to the Lords) if supported.
