This bill would require large companies to disclose a range of financial information and would establish public disclosure of beneficial ownership. It also would have banks tell HMRC which companies hold bank accounts, and would mandate publication of tax returns for high earners and the largest 250 UK companies, with other related transparency measures.
The bill is currently at the second reading in the House of Commons. After this stage, it would proceed to detailed scrutiny in committee, followed by further readings before moving to the Lords.
