The Victims of Overseas Terrorism Bill would provide advice and assistance to people affected by terrorism that happens outside the UK. It also sets up insurance arrangements to protect individuals against injuries arising from overseas terrorism, and includes related provisions. The aim is to offer practical support and financial protection to victims and those connected with overseas terrorist acts.
The bill is at the second reading stage in the House of Commons and originated in the Lords; it will progress through the usual stages in both Houses.
