The Medical Innovation Bill [HL] aims to create a framework to support innovation in medical treatment and speed up access to new therapies. It seeks to balance rapid development with patient safety and regulatory oversight. Originating in the Lords, it is now being considered in the House of Commons at its second reading.
The bill is at the second reading in the Commons; if it progresses, it will move to committee stage and then to further readings before possible passage to the Lords for consideration.
