House of Lords
13 June 2014
This bill would add a new public health objective to the Licensing Act 2003. It would require licensing decisions to take public health into account alongside existing aims, such as reducing crime and protecting safety. The change would apply to licensed premises across England and Wales.
Currently at the second reading in the Lords. If it moves forward, it would go to committee stage in the Lords and then proceed through Parliament in the normal way.
