This Bill would create a new planning category for betting shops that have fixed odds betting terminals (FOBTs). It would require planning permission for such shops, require local planning authorities to consider demand when assessing proposals, and place a cap on how many FOBT betting shops can be approved in any area.
Currently at the second reading in the House of Commons. If it progresses, it would move to the committee stage and then onward to the Lords.
