A Bill to repeal Articles 21 and 45 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, EC Directive 2004/38/EC and EC Regulation 492/2011.
House of Commons
30 March 2015
The Bill would repeal the EU-based rights to move to, live in and work in the UK by removing the legal basis for free movement from UK law. In effect, it ends the free movement rights that EU/EEA/Swiss citizens currently rely on to move to and reside in the UK, leaving entry and residence decisions to UK domestic rules.
