Wild Animals in Circuses Bill would ban the use of wild animals in UK circuses and set out how the ban is to be enforced. It would define what counts as a wild animal and establish the rules circuses must follow to comply. The bill also covers related matters to support enforcement and implementation.
The bill is at the second reading in the House of Commons. If it progresses, it will move to committee stage for detailed examination, then to the Lords for consideration.
