This Bill would amend the Civil Partnership Act 2004 to allow opposite-sex couples to enter civil partnerships. It brings heterosexual couples into the same civil partnership framework as same-sex couples and could include related changes to implement this.
The Bill is at the 2nd reading in the House of Commons. If it passes, it will move to Committee stage for detailed scrutiny, then on to Report and Third Reading before potential passage to the Lords.
