The Polling Stations (Regulation) Bill would make it an offence to campaign within a prescribed area around a polling station on the day of certain elections. It also allows for other related provisions to be put in place to support this ban. The aim is to reduce last-minute attempts to influence voters as they go to vote.
The bill is currently at the second reading in the House of Commons.
