This Mesothelioma (Amendment) Bill [HL] is intended to amend the Mesothelioma Act 2014. It seeks changes to how the Mesothelioma Lump Sum Scheme operates, including eligibility, processing and payments, to improve access to compensation for people with mesothelioma and their families.
The bill is at the second reading in the Lords. It will move to the committee stage and then on to further readings in the Lords, before potentially moving to the House of Commons for consideration.
