This Bill would change the Local Government Finance Act 1992 to require councils to collect information about tenancy tenure and the details of private landlords. The aim is to give local authorities better data to help with housing policy, planning and finance, and for related purposes.
The bill is at the 2nd Reading stage in the Commons and has not yet progressed to Committee or to the Lords.
