The Carbon Monoxide Poisoning (Safety Abroad) Bill would require companies that offer or market overseas holiday accommodation to British citizens to put in place specified health and safety measures to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. It targets holiday properties marketed to UK travellers and the businesses that promote or arrange those holidays, with the aim of improving safety for British holidaymakers abroad.
The bill is at its second reading in the House of Commons. The initial stage occurred in July 2016 with the first reading, and it is now progressing through Parliament.
