The Stalking (Sentencing) Bill would raise the maximum penalties that courts can impose for stalking offences. It also includes related provisions on sentencing to better reflect the harm caused to victims and to ensure more consistent punishments. In short, it aims to make stalking offences more seriously punished and to offer greater protection to victims.
