This Bill would raise the maximum penalties that courts can impose for stalking offences and make related changes to how such cases are dealt with. It is designed to reflect the seriousness of stalking and offer stronger protection to victims.
The Bill is currently at the Second Reading in the House of Commons, the first stage of debate. After this, it will move to Committee stage and on to further readings.
