A Bill to make provision about the disclosure, consideration and approval of proposals for onshore electricity power stations of 50MW or less; to require the application of Engineering Construction Industry (NAECI) terms and conditions in certain circumstances; to require sector-specific collective national workforce agreements in other circumstances; and for connected purposes.
House of Commons
8 March 2017
This Bill would change how small onshore electricity stations (up to 50MW) are planned and approved. It requires proposals to be disclosed and properly considered before consent, and it would apply NAECI terms in some cases or sector-wide national workforce agreements in others to govern the people working on those projects.
The Bill is currently at the Second Reading in the House of Commons. If it progresses, it would move on to Committee stage for detailed examination and then to the House of Lords for consideration.
Generated 21 February 2026
This Bill has been withdrawn and will not progress any further.
The Bill had its first reading on Wednesday 25 January 2017 through the Ten Minute Rule procedure. The second reading was expected on Friday 24 March 2017 but was withdrawn.
