A Bill to make provision for the holding of a referendum in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar on the proposed terms for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union; and for connected purposes.
House of Commons
28 April 2017
If enacted, the Bill would require a referendum in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar on the terms for leaving the European Union. It would also set out how that referendum should be held and address related issues arising from the withdrawal process.
Generated 21 February 2026
This Bill was expected to have its second reading debate on Friday 12 May 2017.
However, as a General Election has now been called and Parliament will be dissolved from 3 May 2017, the Bill falls and no further action will be taken.
