7 December 2018
This Bill would require the Government to publish annually a review of the net revenue raised from all taxes and duties. It must include estimates of how revenue would change if tax rates or duties were altered. The aim is to provide clearer, transparent information about tax policy and its potential effects on the public finances.
The Bill is currently at the 2nd reading in the House of Commons. If it progresses, it would move to the Committee stage, then Report stage and Third Reading in the Commons, before moving to the Lords.
