If enacted, the Domestic Properties (Minimum Energy Performance) Bill would require the government to ensure that all domestic properties achieve at least a rating of C on their Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). The Secretary of State would be responsible for making sure homes meet this standard and for putting in place the steps needed to implement it. The bill is a proposal from the House of Commons and, at present, is at the 2nd reading stage in the Commons.
