A Bill to establish a requirement on local authorities to transfer certain statistics relating to nationality to the Office of National Statistics; and for connected purposes
This Bill would amend section 47 of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007. It would place a duty on local authorities to disclose to the Statistics Board certain information relating to individuals, including all information held by a local authority relating to the nationality of those resident within its boundaries. The duty would be placed on local authorities by regulations made by the Minister for the Cabinet Office. The Bill would apply to England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
