The Domestic Energy Efficiency Plan Bill would require the Government to publish a plan to meet domestic energy efficiency targets set out in the Clean Growth Strategy. It would set up a system to monitor progress against milestones in that plan and create an advisory body to help implement it. The aim is to improve energy efficiency in homes and help households save energy and cut emissions.
The bill is currently at the second reading in the House of Commons. It still needs to go through committee stage, report stage and third reading before moving to the Lords.
