This Bill would require board members of certain public authorities (those covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000) to publish their expenses on travel, accommodation and subsistence. The publication can be included in the authority’s annual report or issued as a separate document, to improve transparency over public spending.
The bill is currently at the 2nd Reading in the House of Commons, having originated there. If it progresses, it would move to Committee Stage for detailed examination.
