The European Citizens’ Rights Bill aims to protect the immigration rights of EU, EEA EFTA and Swiss citizens who live in the UK. It would also require the government to provide physical proof of those rights to the individuals and sets out related purposes for doing so.
The bill is at the 2nd Reading in the House of Commons. It has previously had its 1st Reading in 2020 and would move on to committee and further stages if it progresses.
