The Wellbeing of Future Generations (No. 2) Bill would require public bodies to act to improve the UK’s wellbeing across environmental, social, economic and cultural areas. It would create a UK Commissioner for Future Generations and a Joint Parliamentary Committee, require wellbeing impact assessments and preventative spending accounting, and extend consideration of wellbeing to public contracts and to companies’ activities.
