This Bill would require residential developers to meet minimum standards for insulation, broadband connectivity and electric car charging points in new homes. It aims to make new homes more energy efficient, better connected and EV-ready, applying to new build housing.
The bill is currently at the Second Reading in the House of Commons. If it progresses, it will move to the Committee stage for detailed scrutiny, followed by Report Stage and Third Reading, before moving to the Lords.
