The Plastic Pollution Bill would set legally binding targets to reduce plastic pollution and require the government to publish a national strategy and yearly progress reports. It would also establish an advisory committee to help steer policy and ensure accountability on plastic pollution.
Currently at the second reading in the House of Commons; the bill is in the early stages and would move to committee if it progresses.
