The Bill would prevent the Mayor of London from imposing road user charges for driving in Outer London. It would keep Outer London free from such charging schemes and include related provisions to support that aim. If enacted, it would limit the Mayor’s powers in relation to Outer London road charging and cover connected purposes.
The Bill is currently at the 2nd Reading in the House of Commons. If MPs support it, it would move on to the Committee stage and subsequent readings.
