A Bill to restrict the use of non-disclosure agreements; and for connected purposes.
House of Commons
17 November 2021
This Bill would limit how non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) can be used, especially in workplace disputes. It would prevent NDAs from silencing people who report harassment, discrimination, or other wrongdoing by allowing disclosures to regulators, investigators, or in court where appropriate. It also requires confidentiality terms to be clear, voluntary, and entered into with proper informed consent and, where possible, independent legal advice.
