This bill would extend the right to parental bereavement leave and pay to parents who experience pregnancy loss in early pregnancy, including miscarriages and stillbirths. It recognises early pregnancy loss as bereavement and provides time off and financial support for affected families.
The bill is currently at the 2nd reading in the House of Commons. If it passes this stage, it will be considered in detail by a committee before moving on to the Lords.
