The Learning Disabilities (Access to Services) Bill would require a formal review of how people with learning disabilities access healthcare and other services, and of how learning disability services are provided across government. It would also introduce a statutory code of practice on how public bodies must meet equality duties in matters relating to learning disabilities, and enable related reforms. Overall, the aim is to identify gaps and improve access and support for people with learning disabilities.
