This bill would require coroners, after an inquest into a death by suicide, to record an opinion on the factors relevant to that death. It is intended to give clearer context for suicide cases and their causes, and to support related purposes.
The bill started in the Lords, progressing through Lords stages (including a 2nd reading in Oct 2022, an Order of Commitment discharged in Jan 2023, and a 3rd reading in Jun 2023).
