The Domestic Energy (Value Added Tax) Bill would remove VAT from the supplies of electricity, oil and gas used for domestic purposes, and it includes related provisions. In effect, it aims to lower household energy costs by making domestically used energy VAT-free. The Bill is currently at the second reading in the House of Commons.
