This Bill aims to boost small-scale, local energy generation and energy efficiency. It would review current microgeneration policies, set out a fiscal strategy to support energy efficiency and microgeneration, require estate agents to show energy ratings, improve access to affordable finance for domestic microgeneration, and update energy laws to encourage lower consumption and local power generation.
The Bill is currently at the second reading in the House of Commons. If it progresses, it would move to committee stage and subsequent readings in the House.
