This bill would remove the fee NHS clinical staff must pay under section 68 of the Immigration Act 2014. In practice, doctors, nurses and other clinicians working for the NHS would not have to pay that immigration fee, reducing costs for NHS staff and supported by the bill’s measures.
Currently at 1st Reading in the Commons. After this, the bill would move to the Second Reading and then through further stages such as Committee and Report in the Commons, before moving to the Lords.
