This Bill would change the Equality Act to stop age discrimination by employers in the provision of insurance or related financial services. In effect, employers would not be allowed to treat people differently because of their age when offering or pricing insurance tied to work or workplace schemes.
The bill is currently in the first reading stage in the Commons. If it progresses, it will move to the second reading, then committee stage, report stage, and third reading before moving to the Lords.
