This Bill would require every new housing development with ten or more homes to include an automated external defibrillator (AED) on site. It also requires the developer to fund the AEDs’ maintenance for ten years after installation. The aim is to improve quick access to life-saving defibrillation in new communities.
The bill is at the first reading in the House of Commons and has not yet moved through detailed scrutiny. If approved, it would proceed to the second reading and committee stage.
