This Bill would set out how Members of the House of Lords are taxed on their parliamentary payments and allowances. It aims to make the tax treatment of Lords’ income clear and consistent, and to define who is responsible for collecting and reporting tax.
The Bill is at Committee stage in the Lords, with amendments being considered; two Amendment Papers have been published as part of scrutiny.
