This Bill would create a framework for co-funding NHS services in England and extend the use of co-payments for NHS care. In effect, it would allow and widen charges on patients or others contributing to the cost of NHS services, with related provisions.
The bill is at the 2nd reading in the House of Commons. If it progresses, it would move to committee stage for detailed examination, then on to further readings and consideration by the Lords.
