A Bill to require police officers and certain employees of police forces to declare a membership of or affiliation to certain types of society and organisation; to require such declarations to be accompanied by a statement relating to that membership; and for connected purposes.
The Police (Declaration) Bill would require police officers and some staff working in police forces to declare whether they belong to or are affiliated with certain kinds of groups or organisations, and to include a short statement explaining that membership. The aim is to improve transparency and accountability in policing.
