This Bill would require the Government to carry out a review of every Arm’s-Length Body that existed on 4 July 2024 and publish the results within four years. The aim is to improve transparency and accountability by examining what these independent bodies do, how they perform, and how they are funded.
The Bill has completed the first reading and is at the second reading in the Commons (as of 14 March 2025). If it progresses, it would move to the next stages in the Commons and then to the Lords.
