The Community Energy (Review) Bill would require the Secretary of State to carry out a formal review of how community energy projects contribute to the government’s Clean Power 2030 mission. The review would look at the role and impact of locally owned, community energy schemes in helping meet the target, and what role they might play in future policy. The bill is at the second reading in the Commons and is sponsored by Joe Morris (Labour, Co-op).
