This bill would require ceramic products to show the country of origin. It would apply to both UK-made and imported ceramics sold in the UK, obliging producers, importers and sellers to mark where the item comes from. The aim is to help consumers know where items come from and to provide clearer trading information.
First reading took place on 5 March 2025. The bill is presently at the 2nd reading in the Commons; if it progresses, it would move to committee stage and then further readings before becoming law.
