The Gaza (Independent Public Inquiry) Bill would set up an independent public inquiry into the UK’s involvement in Israeli military operations in Gaza. It would require the inquiry to look at UK actions and relations with Israel since October 2023, including military, economic or political cooperation such as weapons sales, surveillance aircraft and RAF bases, and it would have power to question Ministers and officials about those decisions.
The bill is at its second reading in the Commons and would move to committee stage for detailed examination if it progresses.
