The Fuel Poverty Bill would push the government to do more to help people keep warm without paying excessive energy costs. It would set up an energy efficiency programme to bring existing homes up to current standards, require energy suppliers to offer social tariffs to help vulnerable households with bills, and strengthen the government's legal duty to end fuel poverty.

This Bill was on the Order Paper 16 October, to resume the adjourned Second Reading from 20 March, but there was not enough time for debate on that day.
