The Leases (Integrated Retirement Communities) Bill would set clear rules for the leases that people sign to occupy homes inside integrated retirement communities. It would also address what fees can be charged in connection with those leases and give regulators powers to supervise operators of these communities. The aim is to protect residents from unfair terms and fees and to improve oversight of how integrated retirement communities are run.
