The Goalpost Safety Bill would set legally binding minimum safety standards for football goalposts used in the UK. It would require posts to meet defined design, installation and maintenance requirements to reduce injuries, and place duties on organisations such as schools, football clubs and local authorities to keep goalposts safe and well maintained.
