The Safety and Conservation (Byelaws) Bill would let the Secretary of State delegate some safety and conservation powers to conservators and other approved bodies. This could help those bodies create and enforce byelaws in parks, nature reserves and other public spaces, improving safety and conservation. It also covers related or connected purposes.
The bill is currently at the 2nd Reading in the House of Commons. It originated in the Commons with a 1st Reading on 16 December 2009 and has not progressed beyond the early stages in this session.
