This Bill would change the Juries Act 1974 so that, in certain cases in Wales, every member of a jury must be bilingual in Welsh and English. It would amend section 10 to require bilingual jurors and to support the use of both languages in jury service and court proceedings. It is currently at the second reading in the House of Commons.
The Bill is at the 2nd Reading in the House of Commons. If it progresses, it would move to the committee stage for detailed scrutiny before further readings.
