The Drugs (Roadside Testing) Bill would create a system for testing drivers for illegal drugs at the roadside. It is intended to give police powers to test people stopped on the road for illegal drugs and to set out how evidence from those tests would be used. The bill is currently at the second reading in the House of Commons.
Currently at the 2nd reading in the Commons. For it to become law, it would need to progress through the remaining stages in both Houses and receive Royal Assent.
